The very first snack shack.
Hi, I’m Leah. I’ve spent my life surrounded by food, and hospitality with a side of hustle. In 2008, searching for an epic adventure (and a little California sunshine), I landed at The French Laundry and later worked with top restaurant groups in Los Angeles and Denver. Along the way, I discovered that my true passion lies in bringing people together through unforgettable culinary moments.
I’ve been hustling and creating experiences since my college days, juggling a few jobs, including wedding and event planning. But let’s be real—my love for snacks and gathering people started way earlier. At 10 years old, I earned $5 a week serving snacks to kids at my daycare and sweeping the floors. Summers were all about Aunt Jean’s pool house with my grandmother’s iconic snacks.
Those early memories taught me something big: food isn’t just about flavor—it’s about connection. That’s the soul behind Side Hustle Snacks. I believe life is better when we pause, savor the small bites, and gather around the snack bowl.
If you’re a foodie or here because you are obsessed with these goodies, welcome!
Managing special projects and events alongside Aubrey and Taylor at Cadet + Chispa keeps me busy, but life’s not all work—I’m also a proud wife to Justin, a devoted dog mom to Hazelnut, and a full-time collector of random life hacks.
You can usually find me as close to a pool or beach as possible, hopefully with good friends laughing out loud. I’ve also accumulated an impressive arsenal of advice—ask, and I’ll happily share the universe's secrets, especially the magic of compounding interest and budgeting. When I’m not dropping knowledge, I’m likely in the kitchen whipping up delicious bites, hosting gatherings, hunting for real estate gems, or dreaming about our next renovation.
To Justin, thanks for the endless support.
To Michelle Lipa, thanks. for the push to start.
To My Mom, thanks for your love, we miss you.
